Abstract
Virtualization is widely used in the virtualized data centers. The performance of network virtualization is the important factor that whether virtualized data centers are popular. There are two ways for network virtualization: full virtualization and para virtualization. We use the open source Xen hypervisor and Linux to perform a comparative evaluation of the above two network virtualizations. We investigate the network para virtualization, and discuss the necessity of adopting para-virtualized drivers in the full virtualization. We test and verify that the para virtualization of network has better performance than the full virtualization, especially when sending packets it is very obvious. |
