The Efficiency of the Backstepping Control without Speed Sensor applied to the Induction Motor Voltage Supplied

This paper presents a novel backstepping control approach applied to an asynchronous machine supplied with power voltage source’s without speed sensor. Firstly, we present the application of the classical backstepping control on an induction motor (IM) based on the leakage-oriented model to track speed and leakage. Then, we present the model reference adaptive system method (MRAS) for its speed  estimation. The overall stability is proved using Lyapunov theory. This control law is tested by numerical simulation using Matlab. The simulations results prove clearly the validation of the proposed backstepping control.
